Z-Motion Motorized Screens

Get shade, bug control, and privacy at the push of a button. Your screen retracts when you want an open view. It closes when you want comfort.

Make your outdoor space usable more days per year

A motorized screen gives you control. You can block harsh sun, keep bugs out, and reduce glare without losing airflow. You can also improve privacy while keeping your view. The system retracts into a protected housing when you do not need it.

What space do you need screened?

Comfort That Adjusts to Your Life

Protection when you want it. Openness when you don’t.

One-Touch Control

With a simple press of a button, your space changes. Screens lower smoothly to create shade and comfort, then disappear when you’re ready to let the outdoors back in.

Guided Track System

The screen fabric runs inside vertical tracks that guide movement and help keep the screen aligned during use. What that means for you: smoother operation, fewer interruptions, and a screen that feels dependable when you use it day after day.

Insect, Solar, and Privacy Fabrics

Z-Motion Screens are available with different fabric types depending on how you want your space to function. What that means for you: you can block mosquitoes and no-see-ums without losing airflow, soften harsh sun without killing the view, or add privacy without building permanent walls.

Large Openings

Z-Motion Screens are designed to span large openings up to 30' commonly found in patios, lanais, pergolas, and garages. What that means for you: even big, open spaces can feel protected and usable without breaking the flow of your home.

One-Touch Control

With a simple press of a button, your space changes. Screens lower smoothly to create shade and comfort, then disappear when you’re ready to let the outdoors back in.

Longshade's Reviews

What an amazing experience working with Longshade’s. Thomas was our consultant who helped with deciding the best options for us. Todd was the most amazing and professional installer. He installed 6 indoor motorized shades, explained the charging and operation of all of them, worked super clean and efficient. We could not be happier with the entire project.

I am so pleased with my new shutters. Fred and Kyle H did a wonderful job with installation. The work areas were spotless when they finished (possibly cleaner than before their arrival), and they showed great concern that I was pleased with the job. I was surprised when Kim called a few days later to make sure I was happy with the installation. I would highly recommend Longshade’s.

Our experience with Longshade's was amazing. Kim communicated with me very step of the way, which was greatly appreciated. We are loving our motorized garage door screens. I will recommend Longshade's to family and friends.

FAQs

Price depends on opening size, fabric openness, motor type, and power (battery vs wired). Most openings are around $5000 - $6,000 per shade installed, with large openings and premium fabrics costing more. We will provide you a no pressure quote when visiting your home.

When using a 3% screen you will have the most privacy. Typically you may see shadows depending on how bright the lights are in your enclosed space but our customers love that they create a mostly private atmosphere

Yes, we have multiple hub options that integrate with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Homekit

Most modern motors are quiet, and you’ll hear a low hum while moving. Noise level depends on shade size, motor type, and mounting. Bigger shades usually need stronger motors, which can be slightly louder.

Most companies offer a 3-5 year warranty OR a lifetime warranty on the screen but not the motor. We offer a Lifetime Warranty on the entire product. A motor itself can cost $1500, so you will want a warranty that covers the most expensive part of the product

Our standard Z-Motion screen withstands 30-40 mph winds. This is typically a great application for most climates. If you need a higher wind rating our Titan screen is built for hurricane strength winds.
